Memory

The HPE ProLiant DL360 G7 (Generation 7) server comes standard with 6GB of Unbuffered memory and can support up to 384GB of Registered memory or 48GB Unbuffered memory (consisting of 12 of the 4GB dual-rank PC3-10600 UDIMMs). Please note that Registered and Unbuffered memory cannot be mixed in the same server.

To achieve the maximum memory configuration, you must use Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs). The DL360G7 supports up to 384GB of Registered memory for dual CPU models (or 192GB for single CPU models). This is accomplished by either six of the 32GB quad-rank PC3L-8500 RDIMM modules for a single CPU server, or 12 of these 32GB modules for dual CPU machines. Global One Technology offers the 384 GB kit to max out the memory on your Dual CPU DL360 G7 server. Also available, the more budget-friendly 192 GB kit for Dual CPU servers. The complete list of DL360 G7 memory options are listed below. Feel free to contact us via Live Chat with with questions.

Drives

The HPE ProLiant DL360 G7 (Generation 7) server can support up to eight (8) 2.5" SFF (small form factor) hot plug hard drives.

You can use either SAS, SATA, or Solid State drives in the DL360 G7. Most customers opt for Enterprise SAS drives due to the superior performance - faster data transfer rates and spindle speeds. See the full list of available drives below. Feel free to contact us via Live Chat with with questions about hard drives for DL360G7 servers.

NOTE: The components of a storage subsystem (e.g. the drive, the HBA/controller, firmware, and the server backplane) should operate at the same data transfer rate or the system bandwidth will be negotiated down to an acceptable level for all components.

Power Supplies

CAUTION: Many HPE ProLiant Servers now offer new power options, including Common Slot Power Supplies. These power supplies come in multiple power ratings and higher efficiency levels to offer the Right Size solution to fit your configuration. This provides improved power delivery and the advantage of reclaiming lost power. Prior to making a power supply selection it is "highly recommended" that the "HPE Power Advisor" is run to determine the right size power supply for your server configuration. In ProLiant Servers that have more than one power slot (bay), only same size power supplies are recommended. If non-matched power supplies are inserted you will get errors and operation will fail.
