Storage Controllers
NOTE: The addition of storage controllers for internal hard drive use is intended for use ONLY with the Hot Plug SATA/SAS Model Chassis (P/N 491532-B21). The addition of a storage controller to the Non-Hot Plug Model Chassis (P/N 491531-B21) is supported for external storage ONLY.
NOTE: To utilize the internal only slot, the HP Smart Array P410 Controller must be selected. The selection of the HP Smart Array P212 Controller for internal and external connectivity, will require the use of the Full Length Full Height PCI-E x16 slot
NOTE: With the HP Smart Array P410 Controller, the addition of the battery backed cache upgrade enables BBWC, RAID 5, 5+0, array expansion, logical drive extension, RAID migration, and stripe size migration.In order to upgrade to RAID 6, at least 256MB Cache and a Battery is required in addition to the HP Smart Array Advanced Pack license (P/N 516471-B21).
