HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Parts

The HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 is HPE's 2U dual-socket AMD platform — two sockets of EPYC compute, 32 slots of DDR4, Smart Array SR Gen10 storage, and chassis options from 8SFF to 24SFF and 12LFF. Every part below is genuine HPE, available new and refurbished, and tested for compatibility before it ships. Live pricing for each part number appears in the tables further down this page.

DL385 Gen10 Platform at a Glance

  • Processors: one or two AMD EPYC processors — the QuickSpecs list the 7xx2 (7002) family from 8 to 64 cores, 120W to 200W, with up to 256MB of cache
  • Memory: 32 DIMM slots (16 per processor, 8 channels each) — up to 2TB of RDIMM or 4TB of LRDIMM, with DDR4-2933 kits supported only on 7xx2 processors
  • Storage: 8SFF, 24SFF, 8LFF, and 12LFF front ends — up to 30 SFF drives, 19 LFF plus 2 SFF, or 24 NVMe
  • Networking: an embedded 4 × 1GbE 331i adapter where the board is equipped with one, plus a single FlexibleLOM slot and PCIe 3.0 stand-up adapters
  • Expansion: three PCIe 3.0 slots on the standard primary riser; the secondary and tertiary risers both require the second processor
  • Power: Flex Slot hot-plug supplies — 500W Platinum, 800W in Platinum, Titanium, -48VDC and Universal, and 1600W Platinum
  • Management: HPE iLO 5 with Intelligent Provisioning

Know which EPYC generation your board carries. On the DL385 Gen10 the processor family decides two things at once: DDR4-2933 memory kits are supported only with 7xx2 processors, and the embedded 4 × 1GbE 331i adapter is not fitted on boards built for them. Check the CPU in iLO before ordering memory or assuming you have onboard ports.

Full platform detail is in the official HPE DL385 Gen10 QuickSpecs.

DL385 Gen10 Parts FAQ

What processors does the HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 support?
One or two AMD EPYC processors. The QuickSpecs list the 7xx2 (7002) family from the 8-core 7252 up to the 64-core 7702, at 120W to 200W. Both sockets must hold the identical processor model.

How much memory does the DL385 Gen10 support?
32 DDR4 DIMM slots, 16 per processor across 8 channels each: up to 2TB with 64GB RDIMMs or 4TB with 128GB LRDIMMs. DDR4-2933 kits are supported only with EPYC 7xx2 processors.

What drives does the DL385 Gen10 accept?
Hot-plug Smart Carrier SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives - up to 30 SFF (24 front plus 6 rear), 19 LFF plus 2 SFF with the mid-plane and rear cages, or up to 24 NVMe drives in the SFF chassis.

Does the DL385 Gen10 have onboard network ports?
It depends on the board. The 4 x 1GbE 331i embedded adapter is not equipped on boards built for 7xx2 series processors. Those systems get their ports from the single FlexibleLOM slot or a PCIe stand-up adapter.

How many PCIe slots does the DL385 Gen10 have?
Three PCIe 3.0 slots ship in the standard primary riser (x8, x16, x8). Secondary and tertiary risers add up to five more slots, but both require the second processor.

Can I mix new and refurbished parts in the DL385 Gen10?
Yes. Genuine HPE parts perform identically whether new or refurbished, and refurbished stock is tested before shipping - the standard way to expand this platform economically.
