Why does my DL385 Gen10 Plus memory run at 2933 MT/s instead of 3200?
Because a channel holds two DIMMs. HPE's 3200 MT/s kits transfer at 3200 MT/s at 1 DIMM per channel and 2933 MT/s at 2 DIMMs per channel. The installed processor model also sets a ceiling on maximum memory speed.
Can I mix RDIMMs and LRDIMMs in the DL385 Gen10 Plus?
No. The QuickSpecs mixing table allows RDIMM with RDIMM and LRDIMM with LRDIMM only, and the 256GB 3DS LRDIMM can only be mixed with other 256GB 3DS LRDIMMs. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is not allowed either.
Do I need the second processor to use all 32 DIMM slots?
