HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen12 Power Supplies
Genuine HPE power supplies for the HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen12, new and refurbished. The server uses the HPE M-CRPS (Modular Common Redundant Power Supply) family in two hot-plug, tool-less bays, and the second bay is optional — so the first question is whether you are adding redundancy or replacing capacity, and the second is what your input voltage will let the unit deliver.
DL345 Gen12 Power Supply Specifications
- Bays: two M-CRPS bays; power supply 2 is optional, and HPE does not support mixing different power supply types within a server
- AC units: 800W M-CRPS Platinum, and 1000W, 1500W, 2400W and 3200W M-CRPS Titanium, all hot-plug
- Efficiency: every unit except the 800W Platinum is rated 96%; the 1000W, 1500W, 2400W and 3200W units meet the EU ErP Lot 9 single-output requirement
- DC units: 1300W and 2200W M-CRPS -48VDC hot-plug kits, each with its own power lug kit (1000-1300W and 2000-2200W)
- Input: 100 to 120 VAC and 200 to 240 VAC rated line voltage; the 1000W and larger units also accept 240 VDC input for China only
- Low-line derating: on 100 to 127 VAC the 3200W unit delivers 1600W and the 2400W unit 1200W; the 1500W unit gives 1000W at 100 VAC and 1100W at 110 to 120 VAC; the 1000W unit gives 800W and the 800W unit 650W
- Power cords: if optional cords are ordered the quantity must match the number of power supplies
The label wattage is the 200 to 240 VAC number. On a 100 to 127 VAC circuit the 3200W M-CRPS unit delivers 1600W and the 2400W unit 1200W; the 1500W unit gives 1000W at 100 VAC, the 1000W unit 800W and the 800W unit 650W. Size for the input you have, and buy the second unit as an identical twin — HPE does not support mixing power supply types in one server.

The wattage on the label is the high-line number. Plug a 3200W unit into a 120V circuit and the server has 1600W to work with, which is what a GPU build will notice first. HPE points buyers at the HPE Power Advisor tool to size a configuration; the derating column above is what to check once you know your input.
Choosing the Right DL345 Gen12 Power Supply
- Match, never mix. A second unit must be the same type as the first; HPE does not support mixed power supply types in one server. Redundancy means two identical units.
- Size for the input you actually have. On low-line AC every unit delivers less than its label, and the largest units lose half. Use the derating table before choosing between 1500W and 2400W.
- Think about efficiency and regulation. The 800W Platinum is the only unit not rated 96%; the four Titanium units are the ones that meet ErP Lot 9 for the EEA, UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Turkey.
- Add the lug kit with a DC unit. The 1300W -48VDC supply pairs with the 1000-1300W lug kit and the 2200W with the 2000-2200W kit; the lugs are a separate part number.
- Count cords. Optional power cords must be ordered one per power supply.
