The counting trap on a scalable system is the third row. Each tray is an independent server with its own iLO 4 and its own front panel, so a fully populated chassis needs two interface adapters rather than one, and a rack of chassis multiplies from there. It is also worth asking whether the switch is needed at all: with iLO 4 on a dedicated management port per tray, a good many racks of these get by on network console alone.
