How to choose an ML110 Gen10 network adapter
Match the cabling to the switch
HPE notes that DAC cables or fiber transceivers and cables are bought separately.
HPE: “Direct Attach Cable (DAC) for copper environments or fiber transceivers and cables for fiber-optic environments must be purchased separately.” (page 25)
Plan the server memory
HPE notes that at least 2 GB of server memory is needed per adapter.
HPE: “A minimum of two Gigabytes (2 GB) of server memory is required per each adapter.” (page 25)
Mind the slot rules
Slots 2 and 5 run below their designed speed, so HPE recommends them least.
HPE: “Although the Speed of slot is designed for 32Gb/s, the actual running speed will be lower than it was designed. Hence Slot 2 and Slot 5 will be least recommended for usage.” (page 6)

Does the ML110 Gen10 have network ports built in?
Two 1GbE RJ-45 ports embedded on every server: the HPE Ethernet 1Gb 2-port 332i Adapter. Every CTO and pre-configured model has the embedded 332i 2-port 1GbE adapter and five PCIe 3.0 slots.
Are cables or transceivers included?
