Because both slots in at least one channel are populated. HPE's 3200 MT/s kits deliver 3200 MT/s at 1 DIMM per channel and 2933 MT/s at 2 DIMMs per channel. Maximum speed is also a function of the installed processor model.
How many DIMMs should I install in a DL325 Gen10 Plus?

Can I mix x4 and x8 DIMMs in the DL325 Gen10 Plus?
