HPE ProLiant DL110 Gen12 Networking Adapters

How to choose a DL110 Gen12 network adapter

Rule 1

Match the cabling to the switch

HPE lists SFP28 transceivers, active optical cables and direct attach copper cables under its E825 10/25Gb SFP28 headings.

Check the power

The B3140H DPU adapter P66387-H21 needs the Adapter Power Cable for NVIDIA BF3 P86625-B21.

HPE: “is selected, then HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 Adapter Power Cable for NVIDIA BF3 (P86625- B21) must be selected.” (page 18)

Mind the slot rules

The PCIe riser and the OCP slots exclude each other: with the 2x16 riser P86620-B21 the OCP options are not supported.

How many network adapters can a DL110 Gen12 take?

The DL110 Gen12 takes network adapters in its two OCP 3.0 slots or in up to two PCIe 5.0 slots on one riser. No expansion slots as standard; the options are two FHHL x16 PCIe Gen5 slots, or one DSFF plus one SFF OCP slot.

Does the DL110 Gen12 have network ports built in?

Eight 10/25Gb network ports onboard, at the front of the server.

What does “Listed in QuickSpecs version 4” mean?
