Mind the slot rules

An InfiniBand mezzanine adapter has one active port in mezzanine slot 1 and both ports active in slot 2; HPE notes that the FDR InfiniBand adapter (the 544+M Adapter 764283-B21) must sit in mezzanine slot 1 for FDR mode, so in FDR mode it runs on one port; QDR and FDR speeds need the c7000 enclosure.

The BL460c Gen9 takes network adapters in its FlexibleLOM (FLB) connector and its two mezzanine slots, of which mezzanine slot 2 needs the second processor. Gen9 FlexibleLOMs do not fit prior-generation c-Class server blades.

Does the BL460c Gen9 have network ports built in?

One FlexibleLOM (FLB) connector for a dual-port 10Gb or 20Gb FlexibleLOM; one port goes to interconnect bay 1, the other to bay 2. The FlexibleLOM is included in the pre-configured models but must be chosen for CTO blades; the FlexibleLOM options are also used to change the original one.
