The DL325 Gen10 Plus has 16 DIMM slots, on its one processor, and takes one kit family: HPE DDR4-3200 SmartMemory, RDIMMs from 8GB to 64GB and LRDIMMs of 128GB and 256GB. How population and speed fit together
Each processor has 8 memory channels with 2 slots per channel. One DIMM in every channel runs the kit at 3200 MT/s; filling the second slot doubles capacity and steps the speed down to 2933 MT/s.

HPE: "3200 MT/s memory SKUs offer a transfer rate of 3200 MT/s at 1 DIMM per channel and 2933 MT/s at 2 DIMMs per channel"; every listed EPYC 7002 processor prints 4TB maximum memory. The QuickSpecs give no DIMM-count table (they point to HPE's Gen10 Plus population-rules paper); the picker uses the balanced layouts 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 per processor.
Three rules that avoid a return
1 RDIMM or LRDIMM, never both
The 8GB to 64GB kits are RDIMMs; the 128GB and 256GB kits are LRDIMMs. A server takes one or the other, and HPE does not allow mixing x4 and x8 DIMMs. If memory is already installed, match the part number on the existing DIMM label.
2 Fill channels for bandwidth
Eight matching DIMMs per processor fill every channel once. Four per processor is a sensible budget build; sixteen per processor is the capacity maximum.
3 Mind the 256GB kit
HPE lists the 256GB 3DS LRDIMM for this server but builds its maximum-capacity row on 128GB LRDIMMs (2TB); the 4TB figure on this page is 16 x 256GB, which is also what every processor row prints. Check HPE's current population rules before filling the server with 256GB DIMMs.

How much memory does the HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus support?
Up to 4TB: 16 slots with 256GB DDR4-3200 LRDIMMs in every one. With 64GB registered DIMMs the maximum is 1TB. HPE's memory table prints 2.0TB with 128GB LRDIMMs and 1.0TB with 64GB RDIMMs; every processor row prints 4TB, and the 256GB LRDIMM is in the option list, so 4TB is 16 x 256GB.
What type of memory does the DL325 Gen10 Plus use?
HPE DDR4-3200 SmartMemory for AMD EPYC 7002 series processors: registered DIMMs from 8GB to 64GB and load-reduced DIMMs of 128GB and 256GB.
What speed will the memory run at?
3200 MT/s with one DIMM per channel (up to 8 DIMMs). With both slots of a channel filled, 2933 MT/s.
Can I use DL325 Gen10 Plus v2 or Gen10 memory?
The v2 lists the same DDR4-3200 family, so the kits are the same modules; check the part number on the existing DIMM before mixing, since HPE does not allow x4 and x8 DIMMs together. The DDR4-2666 and DDR4-2933 Gen10 kits are not listed for this server.
