HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 Memory
Upgrade your HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11 server with genuine DDR5 ECC Unbuffered (UDIMM) memory. Built for this single-socket entry tower, these ML30 Gen11 memory modules deliver reliable, error-correcting performance for small business, branch office, and point-of-sale workloads — with guaranteed compatibility.
ML30 Gen11 Memory Specifications
- Memory type: DDR5 ECC Unbuffered (UDIMM). The ML30 Gen11 does not support Registered (RDIMM), Load-Reduced (LRDIMM), or non-ECC memory.
- Speeds: Up to 4400 MT/s with Intel® Xeon® E-2400 processors, or up to 4800 MT/s with Intel® Xeon® 6300 (Xeon 6) processors (speed is processor-dependent).
- Capacities: 16GB and 32GB UDIMM modules.
- Maximum memory: Up to 128GB (4 x 32GB) across 4 DIMM slots — a dual-channel design with 2 DIMMs per channel.
Before you order, check the memory type. The ML30 Gen11 uses DDR5 ECC Unbuffered (UDIMM) memory — it does not accept the Registered (RDIMM) or Load-Reduced (LRDIMM) modules used in HPE's larger DL-series servers, and the two are not interchangeable. It also requires ECC memory and will not run non-ECC modules. When buying, confirm the module is a DDR5 ECC UDIMM.
Memory Population Rules
For best performance, install matched DDR5 ECC UDIMM kits, populate the white DIMM slots first, and keep the same capacity within each channel (16GB or 32GB). See HPE's Intel Xeon E-2400 population guidelines here:

ML30 Gen11 Memory FAQ
What type of memory does the HPE ML30 Gen11 use?
DDR5 ECC Unbuffered (UDIMM) memory. It does not support Registered (RDIMM), Load-Reduced (LRDIMM), or non-ECC memory — only ECC UDIMMs.
How much RAM can the ML30 Gen11 hold?
Up to 128GB, using 4 x 32GB DDR5 ECC UDIMMs. The server has 4 DIMM slots in a dual-channel layout, and 32GB is the largest supported module.
What is the maximum memory speed?
It depends on your processor: up to 4400 MT/s with Intel Xeon E-2400 CPUs, or up to 4800 MT/s with Intel Xeon 6300 (Xeon 6) CPUs.
Can I use RDIMM or non-ECC memory in the ML30 Gen11?
No. The ML30 Gen11 only accepts DDR5 ECC UDIMMs.
