HPE ProLiant ML110 G7 Parts

The HPE ProLiant ML110 G7 is the single-socket 4U micro ATX tower built on the Intel C200 chipset, taking one Xeon E3-1200 series processor, four unbuffered DDR3 DIMMs and four internal 3.5-inch drive bays — an FCC Class B machine quiet enough to sit in the room it serves. Every part below is genuine HPE, available new and refurbished, and tested for compatibility before it ships. Live pricing for each part number appears in the tables further down this page.

ML110 G7 Platform at a Glance

  • Processor: one socket, taking an Intel Xeon E3-1200 series quad-core from the 3.10GHz E3-1220 to the 3.50GHz E3-1280, or a dual-core Core i3, Pentium or Celeron part
  • Cache: 8MB of level 3 Intel Smart Cache on the quad-core Xeon models, 3MB on the dual-core models
  • Memory: four DIMM slots taking PC3-10600E (DDR3-1333) unbuffered ECC DDR3, to a documented maximum of 16GB
  • Drive bays: four internal 3.5-inch bays, non-hot-plug on the entry and base models, with 4U hot-plug LFF and SFF drive cage kits documented as field upgrades
  • Maximum internal storage: 16.0TB on four 4TB LFF SATA drives, 8.0TB on four 2TB LFF SAS, or 8.0TB on eight 1TB SFF SAS drives
  • Storage controller: embedded HPE Smart Array B110i SATA RAID controller with four ports and RAID 0, 1 and 1+0, limited to four 3.0Gb/s SATA drives
  • Networking: two HPE NC112i 1-port Ethernet Server Adapters on the system board — two RJ-45 ports at 10/100/1000
  • Expansion: four PCI Express Gen2 slots — one x16, two x8 connectors wired with four electrical lanes, and one x1, all non-hot-plug
  • Power: a 350W non-hot-plug, non-redundant supply or a 460W Common Slot Gold hot-plug supply, depending on the factory model, with three non-redundant fans
  • Management and acoustics: embedded HPE iLO 3, Matrox G200eH graphics, and a declared 27.1 dBA at idle in standard SATA configurations

Two limits shape most ML110 G7 orders: one processor socket and 16GB of memory. This is a single-socket tower, so a CPU change is a replacement rather than an addition, and its four DIMM slots take PC3-10600E unbuffered ECC DDR3 only — registered modules out of a two-socket ProLiant are a different part. Everything else follows from four internal 3.5-inch bays and four PCIe Gen2 slots.

Specifications on this page are taken from the HPE QuickSpecs for this server, HPE ProLiant ML110 Generation 7 (G7) QuickSpecs, Version 22.

ML110 G7 Parts FAQ

How many processors does an ML110 G7 have?
One. This is a single-socket tower, so a processor change is a replacement rather than an addition. HPE lists quad-core Xeon E3-1200 series parts from the E3-1220 to the E3-1280, plus dual-core Core i3, Pentium and Celeron options.

How much memory can an ML110 G7 take?
16GB. The board has four DIMM slots and HPE lists PC3-10600E unbuffered ECC DDR3 as the memory type, so four 4GB modules is the documented ceiling.

How many hard drives does an ML110 G7 hold?
Four internal 3.5-inch bays as standard, non-hot-plug on the entry and base models. HPE documents 4U hot-plug LFF and SFF drive cage kits as field upgrades, and the SFF cage takes eight 2.5-inch drives.

Does the ML110 G7 have redundant power?
Not as it ships. The entry and base models carry a 350W non-hot-plug, non-redundant supply, and the performance model a 460W Common Slot Gold hot-plug supply. Redundancy needs the RPS G7 4U Enablement Kit and a second 460W supply.

Can an ML110 G7 be mounted in a rack?
It is a 4U micro ATX tower. HPE documents rack mounting through the Tower to Rack Conversion Tray Universal Kit rather than through rails on the server itself.

Is the ML110 G7 quiet enough to sit in an office?
HPE declares 27.1 dBA at idle and 27.2 dBA operating for standard SATA configurations, measured to ISO 7779, and rates the system FCC Class B. Additional options can raise those levels.
