Drives

The HPE ProLiant DL360 G6 (Generation 6) server can support up to eight (8) 2.5" SFF (small form factor) hot plug hard drives.

You can use either SAS, SATA, or Solid State drives in the DL360 G6. Most customers opt for Enterprise SAS drives due to the superior performance - faster data transfer rates and spindle speeds. See the full list of available drives below. Feel free to contact us via Live Chat with with questions about hard drives for DL360G6 servers.

NOTE: The components of a storage subsystem (e.g. the drive, the HBA/controller, firmware, and the server backplane) should operate at the same data transfer rate or the system bandwidth will be negotiated down to an acceptable level for all components.

Power Supplies

CAUTION: Many HPE ProLiant Servers now offer new power options, including Common Slot Power Supplies. These power supplies come in multiple power ratings and higher efficiency levels to offer the Right Size solution to fit your configuration. This provides improved power delivery and the advantage of reclaiming lost power. Prior to making a power supply selection it is "highly recommended" that the "HPE Power Advisor" is run to determine the right size power supply for your server configuration. In ProLiant Servers that have more than one power slot (bay), only same size power supplies are recommended. If non-matched power supplies are inserted you will get errors and operation will fail.
NOTE: Option Kits contain optional power supply, an IEC power cable and PDU IEC cables.
NOTE: For regional specific power cables please refer to Power Cable section below.
