HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 Memory

Expand your HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 tower server with genuine DDR5 ECC Registered (RDIMM) memory. Built for this dual-socket Intel® Xeon® Scalable platform, these ML350 Gen11 memory modules deliver the speed, capacity, and reliability your IT infrastructure, virtualization, and database workloads demand — with guaranteed compatibility.

ML350 Gen11 Memory Specifications

  • Memory type: DDR5 ECC Registered (RDIMM). The ML350 Gen11 does not support LRDIMM, UDIMM, or non-ECC memory.
  • Speeds: Up to 4800 MT/s with 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® and up to 5600 MT/s with 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (speed is processor-dependent).
  • Capacities: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB modules.
  • Maximum memory: Up to 8TB across 32 DIMM slots with two processors installed — 16 per processor, 8 channels per CPU.

Before you order, match your memory to your CPU. The ML350 Gen11 runs either 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® (DDR5-4800) or 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® (DDR5-5600) processors, and HPE pairs the memory to the CPU generation — the 4800 modules are for 4th Gen processors and the 5600 modules are for 5th Gen. Because the server clocks all memory to the slowest module installed, mixing speed grades limits the entire system. For full performance, buy the speed grade that matches your processor generation.

Memory Population Rules

For best performance, install matched DDR5 RDIMM kits, populate the white (A1) slots first, and balance memory across both processors. The largest 256GB modules have additional cooling requirements (a redundant-fan configuration or a lower maximum inlet temperature). See the full slot-by-slot layout here:

ML350 Gen11 Memory FAQ

What type of memory does the HPE ML350 Gen11 use?
DDR5 ECC Registered (RDIMM) memory only — LRDIMM and unbuffered (UDIMM) modules are not supported. The same RDIMM type is used with both 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs.

How much RAM can the ML350 Gen11 hold?
Up to 8TB with two processors installed, using 32 x 256GB DDR5 RDIMMs (16 DIMM slots per processor). With only one processor installed, half the slots are active — up to 4TB.

What is the maximum memory speed?
It depends on your processor: 4th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs support DDR5-4800, and 5th Gen Intel Xeon CPUs support DDR5-5600. Speed also steps down when both slots in a channel are filled (2 DIMMs per channel).

Should I buy DDR5-4800 or DDR5-5600 memory?
Match the speed grade to your CPU generation — DDR5-4800 for a 4th Gen Intel Xeon server, or DDR5-5600 for a 5th Gen server. HPE pairs the 4800 modules with 4th Gen CPUs and the 5600 modules with 5th Gen, and the server runs all memory at the slowest installed speed. Both are the same DDR5 ECC Registered (RDIMM) type.
