HPE ProLiant SL4545 G7 Parts
The HPE ProLiant SL4545 G7 is a scale-out storage platform: a 4.3U HPE ProLiant SL454x chassis holding one, two or three independent server nodes in front of up to 60 large form factor drive bays, with the power supplies and fans shared between them. Every part below is genuine HPE, available new and refurbished, and tested for compatibility before it ships. Live pricing for each part number appears in the tables further down this page.

Work out which chassis you have before you order anything. The same 4.3U SL454x chassis ships as a 1x60 with one server node and 60 drive bays, a 2x25 with two nodes and 25 bays each, or a 3x15 with three nodes and 15 bays each. Processors, memory and the I/O module belong to the node; the power supplies and the five dual fan modules belong to the chassis and are shared by every node in it.

SL4545 G7 Parts FAQ
Is the SL4545 G7 one server or several?
It depends on the chassis. The 4.3U SL454x chassis is sold as a 1x60 with one server node, a 2x25 with two, or a 3x15 with three. Each node has its own processors, memory and I/O module; the power supplies and fans belong to the chassis.
How many hard drives does an SL4545 G7 hold?
60 large form factor bays in the 1x60 model, 50 in the 2x25 (25 per node) and 45 in the 3x15 (15 per node). Every node also carries two 2.5-inch bays of its own.
What processors does the SL4545 G7 take?
Up to two AMD Opteron 4200 series per server node: the eight-core 4284 and 4274 HE, and the six-core 4238 and 4226. Mixing different processor models is not supported.
How much memory does an SL4545 G7 node take?
192GB per server tray, using twelve 16GB registered modules. Each node has twelve DDR3 slots, six dedicated to each of its two sockets.
Which controller runs the drives in an SL4545 G7?
A Smart Array P420i in the I/O module at the rear of the chassis runs the large form factor bays. The Dynamic Smart Array B110i on each node controls only that node's two small form factor drives.
How much rack space and weight does an SL4545 G7 need?
Each chassis is 4.3U and 7.47 by 17.45 by 35.34 inches, weighing up to 220 lb fully populated. HPE specifies a 1200mm deep rack for the cable management arm and the PDU behind it.
