Choosing the Right DL365 Gen10 Plus Network Adapter
- Spend the OCP slot carefully. There is only one, it costs no PCIe slot, and only SFF OCP adapters below 35W can be supported.
- The third PCIe slot is not free. Slot 3 requires the second processor, so a single-CPU server has two slots for every card, storage controller included.
- Order optics and cables with the card. DACs for copper and transceivers with fiber cable for optical runs are separate line items.
- Going to 100G changes the fan order — performance fan kits are required when networking PCIe or OCP cards are equal to or above 100G.
