- Do not diagnose fan noise as a power supply fault. The fans are a separate N+1 hot-plug assembly on this chassis, and they are the usual source of a sudden change in noise.
- Refurbished supplies suit this platform. A hot-plug supply is a self-contained, tool-lessly replaced unit, so a tested refurbished one carries little of the risk that a board-level part would.
