HPE ProLiant DL360 G7 Networking Adapters
Genuine HPE Ethernet server adapters for the HPE ProLiant DL360 G7, new and refurbished. This server already has four Gigabit ports on board from two embedded NC382i Multifunction adapters, and only two PCI Express slots to add anything to — so a card here has to earn its slot against everything else that wants one.

Check what you already have, and what a card will cost you. The DL360 G7 ships with four Gigabit ports from two embedded NC382i Multifunction adapters, and those carry a TCP/IP Offload Engine and Accelerated iSCSI support. With only two PCI Express slots in the whole server, an add-in card earns its place when the need is 10 Gigabit, fibre, or more than four ports — not for iSCSI alone.

A good number of DL360 G7 network upgrades turn out not to need a card at all. The four embedded ports carry TCP/IP offload and Accelerated iSCSI already, so if the requirement is storage traffic rather than raw bandwidth, the server is equipped for it. Buy a card when the need is 10 Gigabit, fibre, or more than four ports — and check first that a storage controller is not already holding the slot you would use.
Choosing the Right DL360 G7 Network Adapter
- Two slots is the whole budget. Fitting the optional PCI-X riser takes the full-height slot out of PCIe service entirely, leaving one low-profile slot for everything else.
- Check the bracket, not just the card. A full-height adapter fits only the full-length, full-height slot; anything going in the other slot needs a low-profile bracket.
- Budget the memory for 10GbE. HPE calls for at least 2GB of server memory per 10 Gigabit adapter fitted.
- Cables and transceivers are separate. SFP+ cards ship bare: direct attach copper for short runs, or transceivers and fibre for longer ones.
- Match the media, not just the speed. An SFP+ card and a 10GBASE-T switch port will not connect without the right optics in between.
