How many GPUs does the DL380a Gen12 support?
Up to 10 double-wide PCIe GPUs, in configurations of 0, 1, 2, 4, 8 or 10. HPE limits the RTX PRO 6000 to eight, does not support mixing GPU models, and requires eight power supplies for an 8- or 10-GPU build.

What processors does the DL380a Gen12 use?
Two Intel Xeon 6 processors - the server supports dual-processor configurations only, and both must be the same model. Kits listed here run from the 8-core 6507P and 6714P to the 144-core 6766E and 6780E.

How much memory can the DL380a Gen12 hold?
8.0TB, using 32 x 256GB DDR5 RDIMMs at 5200 MT/s with two DIMMs per channel, or 4.0TB using 16 x 256GB at 6400 MT/s with one DIMM per channel. It takes HPE DDR5 Smart Memory RDIMMs only.

NVMe SSDs only - U.3 SFF drives or E3.S EDSFF drives, in one front drive bay that holds up to 8 SFF or 16 EDSFF. There are no SAS or SATA drives and no hard drives on this platform; boot is handled by the NS204i-u v2 in its own front cage.
